GAP! provides after school programming for middle school girls, exposing them to new people, new activities, and more adults who can serve as anchors in their world; thereby supporting girls to be happier, healthier, and more successful in the future life. "The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has always been a steadfast support for our very small grassroots program. With their financial support and guidance GAP! has been able to serve over 400 girls since its humble beginnings. We will use the money through this grant to provide a variety of activities for girls to promote their self-esteem and engagement in their surroundings", says Amy Manhart the program founder and director for the last nine years. Girls Actively Participating! increases the self-esteem of adolescent girls through active participation in the outdoors and in life.
