GAP! was a huge experience for me during middle school. Ms. Manhart, our leader, was always trying to include a lot of fun and value into everything we did. I always had a good time and learned something. GAP! inspired me to be more outgoing and involved in everything I do. I felt comfortable around all the girls, which is hard for any young girl to feel. All of my friends were in GAP! too, and we made pretty good bonds that lasted through high school since I still hang out with most of them today. GAP! was something I looked forward to on Wednesdays. Excitement for what we would be doing later would well up inside of me all day.

GAP! really helped me through the toughest years in my life when I needed people there for me. If I was having a bad day, I could go to GAP! and end my day on a good note. Through GAP! I grew as a person and grew into a person I liked. Now, thanks to GAP! I am happy with who I am. So basically, GAP! was a safe haven to me, that helped me overcome self doubt.

In my middle school years GAP! helped me by providing me with a safe and comfortable atmosphere to spend time after school. GAP! was a place where I could be myself and hang out with girl of my same age that I may not have met otherwise. The activities we did in GAP! were always fun and interesting and being with a safe fun adult was good to have in those transitory middle school years.
